Little Opals
SKILLS SESSIONS FOR GIRLS ONLY 6 to 8 YEARS OLD
MWBA’s Little Opals is a fun and engaging program designed for girls aged 6 to 8 in school Year 2 or below. This weekly 1-hour session introduces young players to fundamental basketball skills through hands-on coaching and practice.
Each session includes skill-building activities followed by a short scrimmage game, allowing participants to apply what they’ve learned in a game-like setting. The program aims to build confidence, teamwork, and a love for basketball while preparing them for the 3/4 Girls Little Eagles competition.

Saturday 15th February to Saturday 5th April 2025
TIME: 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Venue: Northern Beaches Indoor Sports Centre (NBISC)

Term 1 2025| 15th February to 5th April, 2025. Booking online from 13th January, 2025
Term 2 2025| 10th May to 28th June, 2025. Booking online from 7th April, 2025
Term 3 2025| 2nd August to 20th September, 2025. Booking online from 23rd June, 2025
Term 4 2025| 18th October to 6th December, 2025. Booking online from 23rd September, 2025
COST
Little Opals runs for 8 weeks every Saturday during the school Term and is 1 hour per sesssion. It is only open to the first 20 girls.
$120 for returning participant (8 week program only)
$180 for starter pack and 8 week program. (starter pack includes ball and reversible black & white singlet used in our basketball competitions)
Active Kids Voucher(AKV)s can be used for this program.
How To Use The Active Kids Voucher:
Book into program
- Reply to the email from Trybooking confirming your successful booking.
- Attach the actual voucher to the email and please supply the participants Date Of Birth so that MWBA can claim the voucher with Service NSW.
- Once we have claimed the voucher with Service NSW, MWBA will refund the value of the voucher back through Trybooking, on the card used for the original transaction.
Please Note:
- MWBA will not be responsible for any AKV that are not received on time.
- Vouchers are non-refundable.
PLEASE NOTE REFUNDS WILL NOT BE GIVEN ONCE THE PROGRAM HAS STARTED.
MAKE-UP CLASSES ARE NOT OFFERED FOR MISSED SESSIONS.
WHAT TO WEAR & BRING
- Please wear reversible singlet and runners with non-marking soles.
- A filled water bottle with your name & mobile number clearly marked on it.
- Please bring a size 5 basketball (provided in the starter pack)
